Killer in Red Cocktail

OMG! This cocktail has an absolute fantastic story behind it… in my opinion.   From the Campari  Red Cocktail Diaries this drink  involves a bartender (Clive Owen) beautiful women and murder.  Clive walks into a lavish bar looking for a “Women” the bartender serving him tells him to wait and try this drink he’s making for him and listen to his story.  

The story involves a young bartender during the 80’s (Clive/floyd) being able to tell any women who she is and what she is like with the type of drink he is making for her.  No one phases him until he meets his match.  Clive makes a killer in Red drink for this mysterious woman (Caroline Tillete) who’s married to a important producer.  They read each other like a book and plans are made for someone’s demise.

The drink depending your taste can be bitter or sweet but just the same it is a sexy, chic, stylish cocktail especially if one had Clive Owen making it for you.

Here are the ingridients:

3/4 ounce Campri

3/4 ounce Cinzano 1757 Bianco

1/2 ounce Grand Marnier

3/4 ounce Chamomile Gin

Drop of Rose Essence

All ingredients goes into a mixing glass filled with ice, stir contents with a bar spoon.  The cocktail is then strain into a coupe glass and a drop of rose essence oil is added then served.  The recipe can be found at http://www.thedailymeal.com
