Cocktail of the Month… March 2018

March 21st, 2018

Yes spring… it may not feel like it yet but we can finally act like it by sampling some new cocktails to celebrate the change in season!

Here we have the Tequila Honeysuckle:

Ingredients:
2 oz Milagro Blanco Tequila
.75 oz Honey Syrup
.75 oz Lime Juice

Mix all ingredients in a shaker and shake with ice. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lime wedge or forget the wedge and bottoms up!

Next is the Parasol:

Ingredients:

.5 oz Lillet Blanc
.5 oz St. Germain
.5 oz Honey Syrup (equal parts honey and water combined)
.75 oz Lemon Juice
3 oz Champagne

Put ice and all ingredients into the shaker and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a Champagne glass. Top it off with Champagne of your choice and enjoy!                                                                                                                         the-parasol-cocktail-paris-club

My last and favorite cocktail (because of the rum) is the Rum Babalu

Ingredients:

2 parts Kirk and Sweeney 12 Year rum ( I use Mount Gay or Appleton Estate Rum)

.75 part fresh lime juice

.5 part maple syrup

1 part ginger beer

1 dash of Angostura bitters

Garnish: Orange peel

Everything is added into a shaker with ice except the ginger.  Mix well, then strain over in your glass of choice topped off with ginger beer ( any ginger beer will do) and garnish with a slice of orange.
